About Hardcarsecurity

Protecting people, property and information is rarely a single job, and the lines between the physical and the digital keep blurring. Hardcarsecurity is a publication that treats them together. Its four areas are Physical Security, Cybersecurity, Business Risk and Transport & Logistics, and it is written for owners, managers and curious readers who want a clearer view of what could go wrong and why.

Locks, sensors and networks

Physical Security covers access control, surveillance, alarms, lighting and the habits that make premises harder to exploit. Cybersecurity looks at accounts, devices, software updates and common attack patterns, explained in terms a non-specialist can follow. We favour sound basics over fear.

Risk, vehicles and supply lines

Business Risk examines how organisations identify, rank and respond to threats, including continuity planning and insurance questions. Transport & Logistics focuses on vehicles, depots, cargo and the movement of goods, where theft, tampering and disruption raise their own particular problems.

Readers include small business owners, fleet and warehouse managers, facilities staff and people looking after their own property. We avoid jargon where we can, define it where we cannot, and focus on practical steps that are proportionate to the risk instead of listing every conceivable threat.

Our method

We check claims against standards bodies, vendor documentation, public advisories and other primary sources, and we describe the limits of what a general article can tell you. Content is reviewed and updated as threats and technology change.

To report an error or an outdated statement, email [email protected] with the article and the point in question, and we will check and correct it as needed.
